KOSCIUSKO — One man has been arrested on five outstanding warrants in Kosciusko County this morning, Jan. 27. In a joint operation the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department with Pierceton Police and the Indiana State Police a male subject was taken into custody after a short foot pursuit.
At approximately 10:30 a.m. the Pierceton Police received a tip about the location of a male subject wanted on multiple warrants. Officers responded to the suspect’s location and found the subject who then led officers on a short foot pursuit into a barn near Regency Point Trailer park in Kosciusko County.
Jacob D. Anderson, 25, of Pierceton Indiana was taken into custody without further incident once deputies located the subject in the barn. Anderson was booked into the Kosciusko County Jail on the outstanding warrants for failure to appear for sentencing with an original charge of burglary, three misdemeanor failure to pay fines and costs warrants and one civil body attachment.
The Kosciusko County Prosecutor’s Office advises that the defendant’s charge is merely an accusation and that the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
