Chase Logan Higgins, 32, Winona Lake, passed away unexpectedly at 8:45 a.m., Thursday, Jan. 18, 2018. in Warsaw.

He was born Oct. 25, 1985, in Goshen to Rebecca A. (McCall) Burger and Patrick Higgins.

Chase graduated from Warsaw Community High School in 2004 and was a 2009 graduate of Grace College in Winona Lake.  He was currently studying pharmacology at Manchester University.

Chase was an avid reader, a lover of music, sailing and travel, who was deeply interested in cooking and at home in nature. Chase was a loyal friend, always ready to offer heartfelt counsel and a listening ear. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

He will be lovingly remembered by his mother: Rebecca Burger, Winona Lake; his father: Patrick Higgins, Chapman Lake, Warsaw; brother: Zach Burger, Muncie; and his sister: Kayla (husband Evan) Readle, Warsaw. Also surviving is his grandmother: Betty Higgins, Chapman Lake, Warsaw; and his uncle and aunt: Mike and Sue McCall, Goshen.

Visitation will be held from 1:30-3 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 21, at Warsaw Community Church, 1855 South County Farm Road, Warsaw. His funeral service will follow immediately at 3 p.m. at the church and officiated by Pastor Denny Wilson.

A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 23, at West Goshen Cemetery in Goshen. Arrangements were entrusted to Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw, Indiana.

Memorial donations in Chase’s name may be directed to Warsaw Christian School, 909 S. Buffalo Street, Warsaw, IN 46580 and would be appreciated by the family.
