
Janice M. Burns, 67, North Manchester, passed away at 5:21 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 11, 2018, in Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne.
She was born Nov. 14, 1950, in Marion to Rufus and Betty (Blessing) Blackburn. On Nov. 12, 2004, she married Terry L. Burns. He passed away July 31, 2008.
Janice was a homemaker and member of American Legion Auxiliary, North Manchester and Women of the Moose, North Manchester. She was a NASCAR and NFL fan.
She is survived by one son, Max (Patricia) Picco Jr., Prosper, Texas; daughters: Frances (Roger) Stouffer, Lagro; and Linda (Mike) Miller, North Manchester; brothers: Pete (Mary) Coronato, Huntington, W. Va.; Phil (Brenda) Robinson, Kokomo; Jack (Sharon) Blackburn, Fairmount; Frank Blackburn, Gas City; and Roger (Myrna) Blackburn, Gas City; sisters: Karen Bruss, Kokomo; Cindi Gatchel, Laketon; Christy (Larry) Whelchel, Gas City; and Wendy (Roger) Nealis, Marion; eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
Three sisters, Peggy Duncan, Vicki Lamb and Joella Allard, are deceased.
Family and friends may call from 5-7 p.m., Monday, Jan. 15, at McKee Mortuary, 1401 State Road 114 West, North Manchester and one hour prior to service Tuesday. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 16, at McKee Mortuary, 1401 State Road 114 West, North Manchester. Pastor J. P. Freeman will officiate. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery, Peru.
