Susan A. “Susie” Kern, 79, Syracuse passed away on Jan. 8, 2018, at Goshen Hospital.

She was born on Sept. 30, 1938, in Fort Wayne to Cornell and Connie (Pfleger) Morganthaller. She was married to Jake Morganthaller, who preceded her in 2007.

She was active for many years in the Syracuse Bowl, as well as their RV business.

She is survived by her sons: David Kern, Syracuse; and Daniel (Trish) Kern, North Carolina, her daughter: Deborah Kern, Syracuse; eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

She was also preceded by her brother Joe Morganthaller.

Services will be held  at 6 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 11, at the Eastlund Funeral Home with Pastor Brad Cox officiating. Calling will be from 2-6 p.m. prior to the service.  Burial will be at the Syracuse cemetery.
