
Margie L. McCartney, 84, Warsaw, passed away at 3:47 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 31, 2017, at Grace Village Health Care, Winona Lake. She was born July 3, 1933, in Warsaw to Earl and Mildred (Bennett) Latta.
A lifetime area resident and a 1953 Warsaw High School Graduate, she was united in marriage to Jerry McCartney on March 19, 1953. She was formerly employed by Sears and Roebuck and Owen’s Supermarkets of Warsaw. However, she was a homemaker, wife, mother and grandmother who lovingly took care of her family. In addition, she was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Warsaw.
She is survived by her husband Jerry, of 64 years; a son, Jay (Spouse Renae) McCartney, Warsaw; grandchildren: Heather (spouse Roger) Morrow, Pam Davis, Samantha McGinnis, Christie (spouse Zeb) Dotson, Kerra McCartney, Chris Warren, Jeremy McCartney; and ten great grandchildren. She was preceded by her daughter Marcia Davis.
Calling hours are scheduled from 3-7 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 3, in McHatton-Sadler-Funeral Chapel, Warsaw. Funeral services are scheduled at 11 a.m., Thursday, Jan. 4, with Pastor Mark Need officiating. Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
