Kosciusko

Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accidents:

8:28 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 9, East US 30, east of South CR 900E, Pierceton. Driver: Celina Nunez, 31, West CR 250S, Warsaw. Nunez advised that her vehicle slid due to snowy road conditions. Her vehicle went down an embankment, over a field fence and rolled onto the driver’s side. Damage up to $25,000.

6:52 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 9, West Lake Street, west of North Zimmer Road, Warsaw. Driver: Cole R. Williamson, 17, East Main Street, Atwood. Williamson advised he lost traction due to slick road conditions and struck a curb at the interior perimeter of the roundabout at the intersection of Lake Street and Zimmer Road. Damage up to $5,000.

2:20 p.m. Friday, Dec. 8, East CR 1000N, east of North Hasse Court, Syracuse. Driver: Roger J. Coleman, 44, D4 Lane, Syracuse. Coleman advised that a dog entered the roadway as Coleman was traveling west on CR 1000N. Coleman stated he swerved to avoid a collision with the dog. His vehicle exited the roadway and struck a utility pole and a highway sign post. Damage up to $10,000.

8:06 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 7, West CR 700S, west of South CR 600W, Warsaw. Driver: Jose A. Rivera, 16, South CR 300E, Claypool. Rivera advised that he was attempting to pass two slow-moving vehicles when the vehicle in front of him began to pass also. Rivera advised that in order to avoid a collision with that vehicle, he swerved off the road, striking a fence pole. Rivera was cited for not having a valid license. Damage up to $5,000.
