Jerome Eugene Frye, 68, Churubusco, passed away unexpectedly Dec. 6, 2017, at his home on Blue Lake.

Born on October 9, 1949 in Fort Wayne to Jerome P. and Opal (Rea) Frye. He spent his formative years in Albion and graduated from Albion Jefferson High School. After high school he received as apprenticeship through GE. Later he received his Bachelor’s Degree from Purdue.

He was a private contractor for many years.

He was a very loving man who loved his family. All will miss him he knew.

Jerome is survived by his son, Jeff (Antionette Robinson) Frye of Churubusco; his daughter, Jeridan (Asher Schechter) Frye of Los Angeles; their mother, Marcia Frye; his father, Jerome P. Frye of Pleasant Lake; a brother, Kenneth Frye of Pleasant Lake; a sister, Carole Frye of Pleasant Lake; five grandchildren, Aliyah Frye, Arianna Frye, Logan Paris, Mariah Paris and Aniyah Thomas; many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by mother, Opal (Rea) Frye; two brothers, Larry Frye and Michael Frye.

Calling will take place at Sheets & Childs Funeral Home from 3-6 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 12.

Services will begin at 6 p.m. at Sheets & Childs Funeral Home on Tuesday, Dec. 12.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to Cancer Services of Northeast Indiana.
