A 14-point effort from Ethan Carey helped Wawasee to a 39-27 win over Goshen Thursday night in boys freshman hoops.

Adam Beer added seven points, Niles Hodges six points and Kameron Salazar five points in the victory.

Wawasee moves to 5-1 on the season with its next test at home Dec. 14 against Warsaw.

Girls Basketball

Wawasee won a low scoring affair in the freshman girls basketball game at Goshen, beating the RedHawks 20-13 Thursday night.

Wawasee held Goshen to just four points through three quarters while running up a 19-4 lead. Autumn Turner paced Wawasee with seven points and Ava Harker added four points.

Wawasee improves to 3-1 overall with its next date at home Dec. 14 against Warsaw.
