MENTONE — The Mentone Town Council approved funds for the Mentone Utilities Department to fix a transfer switch Monday night, Dec. 4, in Mentone.

The department asked for funds to repair a transfer switch that automatically turns on the generator at the big lift station at station A on the highway when the power goes out. Superintendent Josh Shepherd requested $3,430 to make the repairs to the switch which the board quickly approved. The repair will be performed by D&D Electric.
