WARSAW — One person was injured in the motorcycle, car accident the occurred at Center and Detroit streets, Warsaw, Monday night. Warsaw Police Department and emergency responders were dispatched at approximately 6:52 p.m.

Robert C. Savage, 87, Warsaw, was eastbound on Center Street waiting to turn north onto Detroit Street. Savage failed to see  Jerald J. Womack, 55, Warsaw, heading westbound on Center Street and turned in front of him. Womack’s motorized scooter collided with Savage’s 2004 Grand Prix.

Womack complained of pain in his left shoulder and right knee. He was transported to the hospital by Lutheran EMS. Womack did not have a MDC Class B endorsement for the vehicle he was driving, a Taotao Thunder 50.
