Minnie Louise Wise, 90, North Webster, passed away at 6:25 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2017 at her residence. She was born on March 13, 1927 in Goshen to Martin Franklin and Edith Leora (Wogoman) Hoover.

She was a lifetime Syracuse and North Webster area resident and attended Syracuse High School. She was married in 1951 to Norris Devon “Hoppy” Wise who preceded her on Aug. 17, 1992. She was a homemaker and formerly worked at Laketronics in Syracuse and several area restaurants including Wawasee Café for many years.

She was a member of the Church of the Brethren in North Webster, formerly attended the Syracuse Church of God, and was a former member of the V.F.W. Auxiliary Post 1342 in Syracuse.

She is survived by her daughter, Cindy (Jack) Simpson, North Webster; son: Charles (Penny) Lamb, North Webster; seven grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter; brother, Karl (Evelyn) Hoover, Morgantown N.C. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sons, Randy and James Wise, granddaughter, Jenelle Lamb, great granddaughter, Bethany Lamb, three sisters, Rhonda Hoover, Geneva Cripe, and Doris Gilbert, and three brothers, Ray, Nelson, and Junior Hoover.

Visitation will be from noon– 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 2 at the Church of the Brethren, 7281 E. 600N, North Webster. Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. in the church with Pastor Bob Wyman of the church officiating. Graveside services will take place at 4p.m. in the Syracuse Cemetery.
