Winona Lake Hosting Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony

WINONA LAKE — The Village at Winona is to host their annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony on Saturday, Nov. 25, in conjunction with Toys for Tots. Featuring a visit from Santa Claus, train rides, music, cookies and hot chocolate, caroling, kids ornament making and more.

Toys for Tots and the Village at Winona will collect donations of toys to help spread the Christmas spirit. The ceremony and many family-friendly activities will take from 1:30  to 6:30 p.m., on Park Avenue next to LetterWood Paper Co.

The Village at Winona and Toys for Tots have partnered for this event to collect toy donations, and ask that visitors bring a new, unwrapped toys to spread the Christmas spirit.

The schedule of activities is as follows:

All-day events, 1:30- 6:30 p.m.

  • Toy donations accepted for Toys for Tots – boxes located throughout The Village
  • Train rides for all ages

1:30-5:30 p.m.

• Kids ornament making table in the brick alley Pavilion

2-6 p.m.
• Demonstrations of a rare and remarkable Stinson Player Organ by Karl Rider

4-6:30 p.m.
• Lakeland Community Choir caroling throughout The Village

4:30-6:30pm

  • Free cookies and hot chocolate
  • Santa Claus will be on hand to hear the children’s Christmas wishes
  • Lakeland Community Choir caroling throughout The Village at the shops

6:15-6:30pm

• Lighting ceremony takes place with the help of the Winona Lake Fire Department and their lift truck

Everyone is invited to have a Winona Day on the shores of beautiful Winona Lake at the Village of Winona. The Village’s unique artisan shops and restaurants will be open, and free parking is available throughout The Village. And please bring a toy so that others may have a joyous Christmas this year.
