Freshman Boys Basketball

Wawasee opened up its boys basketball season with the freshmen on Monday, and had a plus result. The Warriors beat Columbia City at home, 37-26.

Ethan Carey led the Warriors with 14 points and Kameron Salazar added 11 points in the win.

Wawasee (1-0) will continue its season next Monday at West Noble.

Middle School Boys Basketball

Milford dropped its seventh grade game Monday to Bremen by a 42-27 count.

Daryk Richardson led the Warriors with 13 points and Brendan Freeman had six points. Cade Beer and Ruben Vela each registered four points.

Milford sits at 2-3 overall.

The eighth grade also lost to Bremen by a 41-36 count.

Grant Brooks paced the charge for Milford with 14 points and Keaton Dukes settled at 11 points. Mason Possell had six points and the combo of Ben Haines and Solomon Gregory had five points.

Milford is 3-2 on the season.
