INDIANAPOLIS — If you have a dog, you know that sometimes it is hard just getting them to stay down or sit.
But Indiana State Police are doing something downright scary — they are using a haunted house to train their canine team.
On Wednesday, five dogs who work with the state police’s explosive detection unit were trained in Indianapolis at Haunted Angelus, complete with sound effects, smoke and other special effects.
The purpose is to simulate possible distractions the dogs may experience during a blast investigation.
This distinguished canine team is used at large events like Super Bowl 46, the Indianapolis 500 and even presidential visits.
Word is they passed with flying colors.
