Phillip L. “Phil” Abbett, 85, Warsaw, passed away on Thursday, Nov. 2, 2017, at his home. He was born on June 4, 1932 in Hunts, Ark/ to Oral W. and Goldie (Feighner) Abbett.

He attended Huntington Public Schools and was married on June 6, 1952 in Huntington to Phyllis J. Henmyer, who preceded him on Dec. 6, 2014. He and his wife moved to the Warsaw area in 1956 from Huntington. He formerly worked for Likens Seawall in North Webster, Paul Baugher Construction in North Webster, was a bus driver for North Webster School, Steve Wilcox Well Drilling in Sidney, and was a delivery man for Sears in Warsaw.   

He attended the Country Bible Church in North Webster and formerly attended the North Webster Church of God.

He is survived by his daughter, Brenda (Gus) Ditsch, South Bend; brother, Ryndard Abbett, Huntington.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, two daughters, Belinda Abbett and Sheila Abbett, son, Todd Abbett, sister, Virginia Sheller, and brother, William Abbett.

Cremation will take place at Cremation Services of Kosciusko County, 4356 N. St. Rd 15, Warsaw. Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 18 at Country Bible Church, 4782 N 850E, North Webster with Pastor Myron Drent officiating. Private burial will take place in the Glenwood Cemetery in Roanoke. Owen Family Funeral Home, St. Rd 13 & CR 500N, North Webster is in charge of arrangements.
