Warren John Longstreth, 91, Argos, died at 5:39 a.m., Nov. 9, 2017, at Pilgrim Manor, Plymouth, where he had been in declining health.
On Sept. 7, 1926 in Mansfield, Ill. he was born to Warren H. Longstreth and Pearl (Kennedy) Longstreth. He had spent most of his life in the Argos Community moving there in 1939.

On Nov. 1, 1947 in Argos, he married  Martha Grace (Grossman) Longstreth. She preceded him on June 28, 1986.
He had worked for Moriarty Buildings and was a Foreman at Wick’s Lumber in Argos, Indiana for the Building Crew.

He attended Argos High School, but volunteered for the United States Army and entered his service to the country on Feb. 1, 1945. During his service in WWII he was an Electrician and on Dec. 12, 1946 PFC Longstreth received his Honorable Discharge.
He was a member of the James Lowell Corey American Legion Post #68, Argos.

Warren is survived by his daughters: Karen S. (David) Alderfer, Argos; Barbara A. (Ben) Gulley, Patriot; Kim E. Longstreth, Fort Wayne; son, Gary L. Longsthreth, Argos; eight grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; sister, Helen (Burt) Radebugh, Albuquergue, N.M.

He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, sisters: Margaret Arick, and Beverly Riddle

Friends may visit with the family from 2-6 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 12, at the Earl-Grossman Funeral Home, 208 N. Michigan St., Argos, and one hour prior to services. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, Nov. 13, at the Walnut Church of the Brethren Church, 5975 19th Rd., Argos with Rev. Robert E. Rice. Burial will follow at the Maple Grove Cemetery, Argos, with the United States Army Honor Guard and the Plymouth Legion, VFW, and DAV conducting Military Honors.
