Kosciusko

Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accidents:

10:02 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 7, North 300E, south of East CR 750N, Leesburg. Driver: Brandy S. Fisher, 44, EMS T34 Lane, Leesburg. Fisher’s vehicle veered off the road and struck a utility pole and speed limit sign. Injured; Fisher complained of head, neck and knee pain and was transported for treatment. Damages up to $10,000.

6:15 p.m. Monday, Nov. 6, West CR 300S, west of South County Farm Road, Warsaw. Driver: Jeffrey P. Dickerson, 67, South Talley Ho Circle, Warsaw, hit a deer. Damages up to $5,000.

Warsaw

Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accident:

5:40 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 7, East Prairie Street, west of South Detroit Street, Warsaw. Driver: Bernard L. Manns, 50, Silver Lake, hit a deer and sideswiped a utility pole when attempting to avoid the collision. Damages up to $2,500.

Elkhart

Officers with the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accident reports:

12:52 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 5, CR 52, east of CR 29, north of Syracuse. Driver: Kodi Carpenter, 16, New Paris. Carpenter complained of pain to the neck. Due to poor visibility on the windows inside Carpenter’s vehicle, he was unable to see the edge of the roadway. His vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree head on. He was taken to Goshen Hospital.

10:04 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 4, CR 12 east of Ash Road, Elkhart. Drivers: Kasey Boyer, 19, Elkhart and Sinn Nou Um, 38, Winona Lake. Injured: Boyer suffered a fractured right ankle, Um complained of back pain. Injured passengers in Um’s vehicle were: Rorn Om, 69 suffered a forehead gash and damage to her right eye; Ohm Um, 12, was transported as a precaution; and Phorn Nou, 72, complained of pain to the head. Boyer’s vehicle crossed the center line, hitting the Um vehicle head on. Boyer was cited for driving left of center.
