Tigers Roll In NLC Swim Win
ELKHART – Josh Miller and Jayden Parrett were each double winners as the Warsaw boys swim team rolled past Elkhart Memorial 123-61 Saturday.
Miller won the 200 IM (2:16.00) and 500 freestyle (5:39.41) events, while Parrett took firsts in the 100 freestyle (50.11) and 100 backstroke (55.20) as the Tigers dominated the Northern Lakes Conference meet.
Also victorious for Warsaw were Zach Taylor in the 200 freestyle (1:56.06), Caleb Snyder in the 100 butterfly (59.13) and Spencer Davidson in the 100 breaststroke (1:02.70).
Dean Katris won the diving competition with a score of 230.80.
The Tigers also won two of the three relay events. The foursome of Davidson, Parrett, Snyder and Matt Wildman won the 200 medley in 1:43.97 and the team of Taylor, Davidson, JD French and Connor Schue won the 400 freestyle in 3:42.56.
Warsaw improves to 6-1 overall and 4-1 in league action.
The Tigers travel to Syracuse Tuesday to face NLC foe Wawasee.
