WARSAW — With a packed parking lot, Grace Baptist Church is happily celebrating their growth and the purchase of a new building with a dedication service Nov. 4. The church purchased the old Think Young Salon and Spa at 2626 E. Jefferson St., Warsaw, this year.

In 2010, Grace Baptist Church began to plant a new church in Warsaw, called Grace Baptist Fellowship at the time. “We were a church plant from Grace Fellowship Church in Bremen, Ind.,” explains Pastor Aaron Hoak.

In early 2010, a group began meeting in homes of those interested in starting a new church. In May of that year the group began meeting publicly for evening worship at The Meeting Place, 475 Anchorage Road, Warsaw, while still worshipping at their Bremen home church on Sunday mornings. Come September 2010, the group began holding morning services at The Meeting Place as well.

In September 2013 Grace Baptist Fellowship was constituted as an independent work, no longer under Grace Fellowship Church, Bremen, and became Grace Baptist Church.

This year Grace Baptist Church was finally able to purchase a building of their own and began holding services at the Jefferson Street location the last Sunday of September.

“We are very thankful and excited to have a place to call our own and a visible presence where we hope to be a blessing to our community as we seek to worship God and preach the gospel of Jesus Christ,” says Hoak.
