Michael J. Hile, 57, Ligonier, passed away, Sunday Oct. 29, 2017 at Memorial Hospital in South Bend. He was born on July 22, 1960 in Goshen to James E. and Phyllis (Hicks) Hile.

Mike really enjoyed spending his time hunting, boating, socializing with friends, watching wrestling, Notre Dame Football and NASCAR on television.

He is survived by his daughter, Krista Hile and her significant other, Kevin Modlin, of Niles, Mich., three grandsons; Keegan, Braxton and Easton, his mother, Phyllis Hile of Ligonier, three brothers; Mitch (Shawn) Hile of Goshen, Marty (Llori) Hile of Greenville, S.C., and Matta (Paula) Hile of Kendallville.

He was preceded in death by his father, James Hile.

A memorial service in his honor will be at the Ligonier Evangelical Church – 1911 Lincolnway South, Ligonier 46767 at 6 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 4. Pastor Troy Diersing will officiate.

Friends may visit with the family from 5PM-6PM prior to the memorial service at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the family c/o: the Ligonier Evangelical Church.

Legacy Cremation and Remembrance Center is assisting the family with arrangements.
