Dora E. Moyer, 84, North Manchester, passed away at 6:40 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 29, 2017, in Peabody Healthcare Center, North Manchester, IN.

She was born March 17, 1933 in Chester Township, Wabash County to Andrew and Hattie (Overlander) Betten. She graduated in 1951 from Chester High School, North Manchester.

On Oct. 30, 1952 she married Herbert Moyer. He passed away July 6, 2015. Dora was an LPN at Timbercrest Retirement Community for 18 years. She and her husband, Herbert, spent many winters in Ocala, Fla. She was an avid reader, enjoyed long walks and spending time with her family. Dora attended the Congregational Christian Church, North Manchester.

She is survived by one son, Robert (Tanya) Moyer, North Manchester; daughters, Diana (Brad) Lankford, Warsaw and Judy Moyer-Schmitt, Ocala, Fla.; brothers, Clifford Betten, North Manchester and Clarence Betten, North Manchester; sisters, Marie Niccum, North Manchester and Evelyn Clark, North Manchester, and two grandchildren. One brother, George Betten, and one sister, Bertha Kline, are deceased.

Family and friends may call from noon until 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 2, at McKee Mortuary, 1401 State Road 114 West, North Manchester. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 2 at McKee Mortuary, 1401 State Road 114 West, North Manchester. Pastor J. P. Freeman will officiate. Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery, North Manchester.
