WARSAW — A Warsaw man is being charged with possession after an officer found him sleeping in his vehicle.

Blake Edward Bradford, 29, 1809 Ironwood Drive, Warsaw, is facing charges of possession of methamphetamine, a level 6 felony, and possession of a controlled substance, a class A misdemeanor.

According to the affidavit of probable cause, on Oct. 16, an officer with the Warsaw Police Department observed a Chevrolet S10 pickup stopped at the railroad tracks at Fort Wayne Street, Warsaw. The officer approached the vehicle, tapping on the window and awakening the driver identified as Bradford. The officer noted that Bradford was shaking and seemed nervous.

The affidavit states that the officer used his K9 to search the vehicle and the dog alerted to the presence of drugs. The officer searched Bradford and found a plastic bag containing residue, a plastic bag containing a large crystalline substance that field tested positive for meth and a cellophane wrapper that contained 10 white pills identified as alprazolam, a schedule IV substance.

Bradford was booked in to the Kosciusko County Jail and held on $5,250 surety and cash bond.
