Janet Lee Tyner, 77, rural Huntington, died at 4:53 a.m., Monday, Oct. 9, 2017 at her home.  She was born June 3, 1940 in Laporte to Louis and Bertha (Grace) Spear.

Janet married Harold V. “Pete” Tyner in Wabash on Dec. 28, 1957; he died Sept. 27, 1995. She was a homemaker and enjoyed mushroom hunting and her grandchildren. She lived most of her life in Wabash, ten years in Peru, and the past few months in Huntington County.

She is survived by three children, Richard (Carla) Tyner of Camby, Gayle (Donnie) Freeze of Elon College, N.C., and Heidi (Ken) Waller of Huntington, eight grandchildren, one great granddaughter; step-sister, Susan Hawkins of Peru, and two step-brothers, Lester Czerwin of Fort Wayne, and Fred (Paulette) Czerwin of Wabash. She was also preceded in death by her parents.

Private services and burial will be in Memorial Lawns Cemetery, 1100 Manchester Avenue, Wabash, with Pastor Jeff Lawson officiating. Arrangements by Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, Wabash.
