Kosciusko

Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accident:

2:25 p.m. Friday, Oct. 6, East CR 400S, west of Country Club Road, Warsaw. Driver: Christopher D. Rager, 44, South CR 250E, Winona Lake. Rager’s vehicle struck a flock of turkey vultures. Damage up to $5,000.

Marshall

Officers with the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accident:

2:51 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 5, SR 17, near Sycamore Road, Plymouth. Drivers: Dale Leiter, Plymouth, and Danial Osborn, Plymouth. Osborn was transported to the hospital after complaining of abdominal pain, where he died a short time later from his injuries. Leiter’s vehicle struck the moped operated by Osborn. The crash is still under investigation.

Warsaw

Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:

3:43 p.m. Friday, Oct. 6, Argonne Road, north of East Market Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Lynette S. Merkler, 53, Bluewater Drive, Warsaw, and Latossha D. Rose, 27, B Road, Tippecanoe. Merkler’s vehicle swiped the rear of Rose’s. Damage up to $2,500.

3:23 p.m. Friday, Oct. 6, East US 30, west of North Parker Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Robert D. Allen, 86, West CR 675N, Leesburg, and David A. Hochstetler, 58, North CR 750W, Etna Green. Allen’s vehicle sideswiped Hochstetler’s. Damage up to $2,500.
