Burns, Robison Pace Lakeview Runners
NORTH WEBSTER – The Lakeview Middle School cross country teams, led by Rylee Burns and Edward Robison, turned in strong shows at the NELMSC Conference Championship Meet Tuesday night.
Burns placed fifth overall out of a field of 94 runners in the girls’ race with a time of 12:37.
Robison was eighth in the boys’ race, which included 124 runners. Robison posted a time of 11:25.
Mikayla Mimnaugn was 16th overall for the Lakeview ladies with a time of 13:19. Kiersten Parker finished 32nd in 13:54, followed by teammate Kylie Werensly in 60th (15:14) and Lizzie Miner in 67th (15:42). Kris Brath was 70th in a time of 16:00 with Rachel Doyle 79th in 16:40 and Maia Young 82nd in 17:23. Young’s time was her personal best performance by more than a minute.
Levi Perry of the Lakeview boys’ squad finished in 13th place overall with a time of 11:38. Garrett Hall was 21st in 11:50 with Jose Velazquez in 22nd in 11:54. David Howard was 23rd in a time of 11:56 with Carlos Velazquez 33rd in 12:15 and Bryce Duncan 61st in 13:27. Ricardo Verduzco finished 67th in 13:47 with Carter Kreft 89th in 14:59. Jose Velazquez posted his all-time best performance in the meet.
The Lakeview girls team placed sixth and the boys team was fourth in the conference.
