
Doris Lucille Berlin, 92, Pierceton, passed away at 1:15 p.m. Monday, Oct. 2, 2017, in Visiting Nurses & Hospice Home Fort Wayne.
She was born Dec. 18, 1924 in Pierceton to Alfred Ray and Trilby (Droud) Linn.
She was a lifetime Pierceton resident. On April 24, 1948 she was united in marriage to John Martin Berlin in Warsaw. She was a proud homemaker and loved all parts of tending to her family and home. She also worked at Kirkham Greenhouse in Pierceton. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Pierceton. In addition, she enjoyed spending time with her grandsons, completing crossword puzzles, music, singing, baby sitting, and mending.
She is survived by her sons, Gary Berlin of Fort Wayne and Brett Berlin of Pierceton; daughter; Kristy Mayer of Warsaw, brother; Clifford Linn of Pierceton; grandson; Daniel Mayer of Milford; faithful companions; her dog Rusty and two cats.
She was preceded in death by her husband John on Oct. 13, 1976. Also, preceding her in death are one sister, Georgia Bell, one grandson; David Mayer and both of her parents.
Visitation is scheduled from 2-7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 5 in McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Pierceton. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 6 in McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Pierceton. Pastor Mark Fishburn will officiate the service. Interment will be in Hillcrest Cemetery, Pierceton.
