Dennis K. Richards, 62, Elkhart, formerly of Syracuse, passed away on Friday, Sept. 29, 2017, at Elkhart General Hospital in Elkhart. He was born May 4, 1955 in Elkhart to Virgil Otis and Olivene May (Ott) Richards.

He graduated in 1973 from Wawasee High School in Syracuse and was a United States Army veteran. He lived most of his life in the Syracuse area before moving to Elkhart. He was formally employed at MAS Products in Elkhart and Johnson Controls in Goshen.

He is survived by three brothers: Joe (Deb) Richards, Syracuse; Larry Richards, Syracuse; Mark (Carol) Richards, Warsaw; several nieces and nephews; he was preceded in death by his parents. 

Cremation will take place at Cremation Services of Kosciusko County. 4356 N. St. Rd 15, Warsaw, IN. No public services will be held.  Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St, Syracuse, IN 46567 is in charge of arrangements.
