
Cheryl Myers, 48, Nappanee, died at 9:10 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 24, 2017, at her residence after a brief illness (5 weeks) with pancreatic cancer.
She was born Jan. 17, 1969 in Warsaw to Don and Annetta (Williams) Millington. She graduated from Wheaton Central High School, and was a 1991 graduate of Messiah College in Pennsylvania, with a degree in Elementary Education.
On June 17, 1995 she married James Myers in Mentone. Cheryl worked at the Cherished Child Preschool, Goshen. She then worked at Nappanee Public Library as the Children Services Director for 15 years. Following the Library she went to work at the Growing Kids Preschool in Goshen.
Most recently, she was a nanny in Nappanee. She loved teaching children. Cheryl was a member at the Atwood Christian Fellowship.
She is survived by her husband, James Myers; parents, Don & Annetta Millington, Bourbon; brothers, Randy (Susan) Millington, St. Charles, Ill., Danial Millington, Bourbon; mother and father-in-law, James “Britt”, Sr. (Ernestine) Myers, Bourbon
Family and friends may call from 4-8 p.m., Friday, Sept. 29, at Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home, Nappanee. Funeral services will begin at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 30 also at the funeral home. Rev. Thomas Harman and Rev. Jerry Kissinger, with Atwood Christian Fellowship, will officiate. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
Memorial contributions may be given to funeral home to help with funeral expenses.
