Kosciusko

Officers with Kosciusko Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accidents:

1:39 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 21, North CR 650E and East CR 800N, North Webster. Driver: Nelson Blocher, 24, EMS T4 Lane, North Webster. Blocher struck a deer with his vehicle. Damages up to $2,500. 

12:51 a.m. Friday, Sept. 22, SR 15 and West CR 800N, Leesburg. Driver: Tiffany Dove, 29, CR 1150N, Milford. Dove struck a horse with her vehicle. Damages up to $25,000. 

Winona Lake

Officers with Winona Lake Police Department investigated the following accident:

3:32 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 21, Kings Highway and Seminary Drive, Winona Lake. Drivers: Joey Gibson, 19, CR 29, Syracuse, and Gloria Paseka, 67, CR 900W, Etna Green. Gibson failed to yield the right of way and collided with Paseka’s vehicle. Damages up to $2,500. 

North Webster

Officers with Winona Lake Police Department investigated the following accident:

4:10 p.m. Friday, Sept. 22, 606 N. Main St., North Webster. Driver: Sheila Hicks, 54, Huntington Street, Syracuse. Hicks struck a parked car while backing out of a parking space. Damages up to $2,500. 

Warsaw

Officers with Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accident:

4:50 p.m. Friday, Sept. 22, South Zimmer Road and Winona Avenue, Warsaw. Drivers: Carissa Nolin, 41, Chapman Lake Drive, Warsaw, and Richard Miller, 80, Walnut Street, Mentone. Nolin admitted she was unfamiliar with the area. When approaching the intersection, she looked down at her low fuel light and struck Miller’s vehicle. Miller was transported from the scene due to chest pain. Damages up to $10,000.
