Thomas Calvin Ice
Thomas Calvin Ice, Warsaw, 72, went home to be with the Lord 1:26 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 13, 2017. He passed away at his residence surrounded by family.
He was born on Oct. 15, 1944 in Fort Wayne to Faye Etta (Allen) Ice and Oral Festus Ice. On Oct. 15, 1982 he was married to Connie J. (Fisher) Ice, who survives.
Thomas has been a resident of Kosciusko County for the past 45 years and was a member of Warsaw Worship Center. He was a 1963 Graduate of Elmhurst High School in Fort Wayne, attended Indiana University and Fort Wayne Business College and received his Associates Degree in 1965. Thomas enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and was honorably discharged in 1973. He worked as a real estate agent and had owned a Christian book store. For the majority of his life he was a school bus driver for special needs children in Warsaw. He loved fishing and cooking for his family and he will be dearly missed by all.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 34 years, Connie J. Ice, Warsaw; two sons: Thomas C. (Tonya) Ice, Jr., Fort Wayne; David (Mariseny) Clements, Avon; two daughters: Tiffany (Chris) Shepherd, Citrus Heights, Calif.; and Kristy (Troy) Newton, Warsaw. He also leaves behind seven grandchildren: Riley Newton; Mary Jo, Grace, Abigail, Cole and Kirsten Shepherd; and Taylor Girdham; niece: Kathy Tyndall Rawlings, Fredricks, Md.; and his sister: Carol Ice Tyndall. Fort Wayne. He was preceded in death by his parents, and granddaughter Leah Aker.
No visitation is planned, a private family memorial will take place. Arrangements were entrusted with Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw.
