NORTH WEBSTER — Joe and Norma Longenecker of North Webster will celebrate their 65th wedding anniversary Sept. 21, 2017.

They were married Sept. 21, 1952, at the Methodist church in Hagerstown, Ind., by Rev. Whealy.

Mr. Longenecker joined the Air Force and was assigned to the School of Ophthalmology. He transferred to the Army, was commissioned and served in Korea. On his return, he joined the Indiana Air National Guard, served 28 years and retired as a lieutenant colonel. Mr. Longenecker is retired from The Hartford where he worked in marketing.

Mrs. Longenecker worked as a registered nurse for many years.

Together they had three children, Jay Longenecker and his wife, Patti, of Cicero; Chris Longenecker (deceased) and his wife, Missy, of North Webster; and Jennifer Miller and her husband, Ken, of Anderson. The Longeneckers have five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Mr. and Mrs. Longenecker will celebrate with family in North Webster.
