Mark C. Eisfelder
Mark C. Eisfelder, 57, New Paris, died unexpectedly on Wednesday morning, Sept. 13, 2017, at his residence.
He had been recuperating from a heart attack from the previous week. He was born Oct. 6, 1959 in Carbondale, Ill. to Carl and Delores (Hubler) Eisfelder. He was a lifetime area resident. Mark was a 1978 graduate of Wawasee High School.
On July 11, 1981 he married Theresa Truex at Nappanee Church of the Brethren. Mark worked for Zehr Construction for 36 years as a carpenter/foreman. Mark loved his entire family. He loved building and creating projects for his family and the customers he worked for. He enjoyed gardening and dearly loved animals as well.
Surviving is his wife, Theresa Eisfelder; parents, Carl and Delores Eisfelder, Hardinsburg; brothers: David (Stephanie) Eisfelder, Syracuse; Brian (Dana) Eisfelder, Senoia, Ga.; Jeff (Tricia) Eisfelder, Columbus; mother and father-in-law, Don and Julia Truex, New Paris; sister-in-law, Angie (Scot) Honeycutt, Nappanee; nephews and nieces, Jordan (Carissa) Eisfelder, Nathan (Rebekah) Eisfelder, Dillan Eisfelder, Alexis (Kirk) Mast; Cathy Eisfelder, Josh (Timara) Eisfelder, Chelsea Eisfelder; three great-nieces and two great-nephews.
Family and friends may call from 2-8 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 17 at Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home, Nappanee and one hour prior to the 11 a.m. Funeral Service, Monday, Sept. 18, also at the funeral home. Burial will follow in South Union Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be given to Grace Community Church or Elkhart County Humane Society.
