Grace Tennis: Lancers Handle Trine

ANGOLA – Grace’s women’s tennis team won its second road match of the week with a 6-3 triumph at Trine on Thursday.
The Lady Lancers (4-1) grabbed an early advantage in doubles’ play by taking two of the three matches handily.
Emily Mast and Carrie Copeland combined at No. 1 doubles to win 8-2, and Jenna Jackson and Molly Fitzpatrick earned another 8-2 win at No. 2.
Mast won 6-1, 6-2 at No. 1 singles, and Copeland also earned a 6-4, 4-6, 10-8 victory at No. 2. Jackson picked up her second point of the day at No. 3 singles 6-2, 6-1.
Briana Diehl had the final victory of the afternoon with a 6-2, 7-6 scoreline at No. 6 singles.
The Lady Lancers end the week on the road again Saturday, playing at St. Francis at 3 p.m.
