Larry P. Johns, 73, Nappanee, died at 3:30 a.m., Wednesday, Sept. 6, 2017 at LaPorte Hospital, after a sudden illness. 

He was born Jan. 31, 1944 in Pittsburg, Penn. to Ray and Mary (Bowser) Johns. Larry enjoyed visiting with people, writing, playing cards and watching college football. He lived in Cowansville, PA before moving to Plymouth to work at Mansion Homes. 

He later moved to Nappanee and had worked at Liberty Homes in Syracuse, Fairmont Homes, Holly Park in Shipshewana, Tiara Motor Coach, and then purchased Travel Lite in New Paris.

Mr. Johns is survived by his wife, Linda; children, Larry Paul (Anne) Johns Jr., Cincinnati, Ohio; Teresa (Mark) Eads, Plymouth; Dustin (Lindsey) Johns, Goshen; Keith (Tara) Troyer, Nappanee; Tami Vance; 11 grandchildren; three great grandchildren; brothers, Casey (Judy) Johns, Cowansville, Penn.; and Danny (Joann) Johns, Fenelton, Penn.  He was preceded in death by his parents; and a grandson.

A Celebration of Life service will be held from 1-6 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 9, 2017 at Dal-Mar Banquet Hall (159 East Lincoln St., Nappanee).

Arrangements are with Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home, Nappanee.
