WARSAW – Given the urgency that became Hurricane Harvey and the obvious aftermath, the outpouring of support and response from around the country for Texas and Louisiana has been remarkable.

Continuing that theme, the Warsaw girls soccer program have decided to coin their initiative effort “Tigers For Texas” in an attempt to collect food items to send to the areas affected in Texas and Louisiana. The program will be collecting cans of nonperishable food and monetary donations this week at all three of its soccer home games. Warsaw plays at home tonight (Tuesday) against Elkhart Memorial (5:30 p.m.), Thursday against Concord (5 p.m.) and Saturday against Noblesville (3 p.m.).

The donations will be loaded directly onto World Compassion Network Relief Trucks headed to the north and west sides of Houston.
