
Earl E. Manges, 93, Wakarusa, formerly of Bremen, died 4:50 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 29, 2017 at Miller’s Merry Manor, Wakarusa.
He was born March 19, 1924 in Bremen to Garrie E. & Amelia G. (Berger). He married Virginia A. (Lantz) Manges on July 31, 1949 at the former Wakarusa First Christian Church.
Surviving are his wife, Virginia, Wakarusa, formerly of Bremen, son, LTC (Retired) Victor J. (Kathleen) Manges, Shiloh, Ill.; four grandchildren, two great grandchildren; brother, Lester C. Manges, North Carolina and sisters, Betty (Fred) Lehman, Nappanee and Rosemary Stokes, Bremen.
Preceding him in death are his parents, son, John P. Manges, and a brother, Eldon D. Manges.
Earl served in the U.S. Navy during WW II and was discharged in 1945. He worked as a mechanic at Airframe & Power Plant and as a technician at Avionix. Earl attended Nappanee Missionary Church.
Visitation will be 9-11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 2, with the service following at 11 a.m., all at Rieth-Rohrer-Ehret-Lienhart Funeral Home, 117 W. Waterford St., Wakarusa. Pastor Jason Rohde will officiate. Burial will follow at Bremen Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the Wakarusa Public Library.
