Tippecanoe Valley’s tennis team lost 5-0 in Peru Tuesday evening.

Payton Mills and Dakota Parker won four games at one doubles but lost 6-3, 6-1 to Peru’s Bryce Cochran and Christopher Dicken, while Garrett Feldman won four games in his second set at three singles but fell 6-0, 6-4 to Bradley Ryan. Jeremy Landis and Connor Frentzel fell, 6-2, 6-1 to Greyson Spohn and Gabe Baker at two doubles.

Seth Hoffman was shut out 0-0 by Ethan Hyde at one singles, and Eric Wright lost 0-1 to Ryan Smith at two singles.

Volleyball
Tippecanoe Valley’s volleyball teams earned a pair of wins at Peru Tuesday.

The varsity overcame a slow start to beat their hosts, 20-25, 25-12, 25-15, 25-19.

Sophie Bussard had a strong all-around match with team-highs of 16 kills, 20 digs and three block assists. Emily Peterson passed out 34 assists, and Shayleigh Shriver was strong on the serve with eight aces for the Lady Vikings (5-4).

In the JV match, meanwhile, Valley topped Peru in two, 25-9, 25-13.

Sidney Wagner led in kills with six, while Sarah Myers set nine assists, and Allison Betten tallied four aces.

Girls golf
Tippecanoe Valley’s girls golf team finished at the bottom of a three-way pile Tuesday, with a 243 score behind Rochester’s 220 and Maconaquah’s 205.

Makayla Sandbakken led Valley with a 58 score. Bethany Johnson shot 60, followed by Jordan Krotke’s 61, and Kesley Shafer’s 64 was the Vikings’ fourth score.

Valley will play again Thursday at Southwood.

Football
Valley’s junior high football team handed North Miami a 27-0 defeat Tuesday.

Braden Shepherd ran the ball six times for 59 yards, Branson McBrier carrier the ball eight times for 57 yards, and Jamasyn Virgil had five carries worth 42 yards in a balanced rushing attack for the Vikings.

Branson McBrier was 2 of 5 passing for 31 yards and two touchdown passes, both to Braxton Davis.

8th grade volleyball
The Tippecanoe Valley eighth grade volleyball team defeated NorthWood, 25-13, 25-9, on Tuesday.

Mallory Durkes and Brianna Sheetz led the attacks with six and five kills, respectively. Brayden Bahney served up eight aces, and Macy Kirchenstein finished with six aces.
