MISHAWAKA — Several hundred people could be laid off from the AM General plant in Mishawaka.

The company filed a notice with the state of Indiana, saying 432 workers would probably be laid off.

Earlier this summer, AM General announced it was selling the plant to SF Motors.

The two companies hope those laid off will be able to have a job once production ramps up under the new owners.
