NorthWood Golf: Ladies Fourth In LC Invite

NorthWood SportsST. JOHN – The NorthWood girls golf team posted a fourth-place finish Wednesday in the Lake Central Invitational.

The Panthers shot a team total of 364 in the event held at the Palmira Golf Course.

Mackenzie Weaver led the way for coach Adam Yoder’s team with a round of 82.

Madison Richner shot a 93 and Abby Slabaugh a 94 for the Panthers. Makenna Gall had a 95 and Kirsten Schlock a 114 for NorthWood.

Host Lake Central won the tournament, which included a total of 15 varsity and JV teams, with a 326. Valparaiso was second with a 338, followed by Munster (360), NorthWood (364) and Crown Point (370) to round out the top five teams.

The NorthWood JV team shot a 416 on the day. Hope Cripe led the way with a round of 100. Abigail Richner shot a 103, while Kylee Gall had a 105 and Delaney Davis a 108.

Alexis Mietowski of Lake Central was individual medalist with a 70.

NorthWood is slated to compete in the Leo Invitational today.
