Cal Ray Hackworth, 79, Lake Wales, Fla. passed away Saturday, July 22, 2017, at Highlands Regional Medical Center in Sebring.

He was born Aug. 6, 1937 in Ivyton, Ky. to the late William and Eary (Jackson) Hackworth and he has been a resident of this area since 2001 moving here from Indiana. He was a Church Furniture Upholster and a member of the South Lake Wales Church of God. Cal was a master craftsman and was dedicated to his work.

He was preceded in death by his, first wife, Betty Jean Baugher; parents; daughter, Connie Sue Jackson in 2014, grandson, Ryan Yeazel in 2002, brothers, James Calvin Hackworth, Bobby Hackworth, sisters, Imogene Stanley and Geraldine Barnhart.

Survivors include his wife of 36 years, Cynthia Hackworth; daughters, Christi Bell (Roy) of Elkhart, Carol Cretcher (Ben) of Bourbon; sister, Earlene Stanley of Port St. Lucie, Fla.; 11 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

Memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Monday, July 31, 2017 at the South Lake Wales Church of God. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to South Lake Wales Church of God or Vitas Hospice.
