
Dardanella Yoder, 74, passed away at 6:58 a.m. Saturday, July 15, 2017 in her Warsaw home.
She was born in Benton Harbor, Mich. on Oct. 10, 1942 to Russell and Helen (Lucas) Himes.
She and Richard E. Yoder were joined in marriage Oct. 29, 1961 in Warsaw and would share 55 years.
Living most of her life in Warsaw she was a customer service representative for its Marsh Supermarket and had also been employed by Wildman’s Business Group. Dardanella was a member of First Freewill Baptist Church of Silver Lake.
Survivors include her husband, Richard; two daughters: Laura (Wesley) Engle, Warsaw; and Tina (Justin) Embry of Sierra Vista, Ariz.; three sons: David (Jennifer) Julian, Columbia City; Chris (Tracy) Yoder and Brian (Brenda) Yoder, all of Mentone; three sisters: Beverly Moody and Cindy Himes, both of Warsaw; and Sharon McNees, Nashville, Tenn.; 27 grandchildren and 32 great grandchildren.
Preceding Dardanella in passing are two sons: Mike Julian and Rick Yoder; two brothers: Rusty Himes and Bing Himes; and two sisters: Louise Hester and an infant sister.
Calling will be from 10 a.m.-noon Friday, July 21 at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw. A service celebrating Dardanella’s life will follow beginning at noon in the funeral home with Pastor Lorren Bradley of First Freewill Baptist Church of Silver Lake officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Warsaw.
