WARSAW — Kosciusko Cares Youth Services Bureau is excited to announce the location of their new office at 1515 Provident Drive, in the K21 Health Services Pavilion. The K21 Health Services Pavilion is home to a variety of non-profit tenants and programs which offer health-related services and meet needs of the community. The building is designed to help Kosciusko County residents by providing a single location for multiple health and social service agencies. The new office is located on the second floor next to the B.A.B.E. Boutique.
Kosciusko Cares Youth Services Bureau strategy is based on the public health model of evidence-based prevention. Programs and strategies are designed to serve children ages 3 – 17 and their families. During the past 12 months Kosciusko Cares Youth Services Bureau has served 1,211 children, adolescents, teens, and adults through Al’s Pals, Botvin Life Skills Training Program and Strengthening Families. Evaluation of our local programs have shown positive results and return on investment. Research has shown that, when implemented with sufficient intensity, saturation and fidelity, evidence-based prevention saves $2 in societal costs for every dollar spent.
The mission of Kosciusko Cares Youth Services Bureau is to advocate for, support and promote healthy youth development. Marsha J. Carey stated, “We are super excited about the opportunities our new location offers for partnerships, collaborating with other service agencies, and even more excited about serving more youth and families throughout the new school year.”
Kosciusko Cares Youth Services Bureau is sponsored by the Otis R. Bowen Center, and home to the Drug Free Kosciusko Coalition and the iCARE high school youth coalition, both focused on reducing and eliminating substance use among youth.
