One person is dead and two others reportedly injured in what Elkhart County police are saying was an early morning shooting, and the investigation is continuing.

Officers were called at approximately 2:54 a.m. today to the Gemini Bar & Grill, 23845 U.S. 33 in Elkhart. The Elkhart County Sheriff’s Department says a 25-year-old man was fatally shot in the parking lot and two women were injured.

The man killed has been identified as Cordera Edmond Williams-El of Elkhart. Williams was identified by tattoos. Williams died of a gunshot wound to the chest.

The names of the bystanders who were injured are not being released at this time.

The investigation is continuing this morning as police interview witnesses, and they are asking anyone with information about this shooting or the suspect who was involved in the shooting should contact the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Department at 574-533-4151.
