$5,000 Reward Offered In Bomb Threat Case

At approximately 7:40 a.m. today, three Goshen Police officers and seven Goshen Fire Department members were dispatched to Cequent, 2602 College Ave. in reference to a bomb threat. Upon arrival, officers were informed that a message had been left indicating that there was an explosive device in the building.

The building was evacuated to assure Cequent employees’ safety. The building was searched by emergency personnel. No suspicious or explosive device was located and the threat was determined to be a false bomb threat.

The investigation into who made the false bomb threat is continuing. TriMas Corporation, owner of Cequent, is offering a reward of $5,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible for the false bomb threat.
