Richard Vesley Wilson, Warsaw, died Tuesday, June 27, 2017 at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne at the age of 31 from injuries sustained in a kayaking accident.

He was born on April 11, 1986 in Goshen to Nancy Louise (Wood) and David Patrick Wilson.

Richard was a 2004 graduate of Warsaw Community High School and attended Ball State Univiersity. He was self-employed and worked in sales for The Car Company. He loved nature and sports, such as snowboarding, surfing and football; anything outdoors. Richard loved dancing, enjoyed music, and played many instruments. His favorites were drums, guitar and harmonica…he was just full of endless talent. Richard threw himself into life with a beautiful smile and he always included everybody with his loving heart.

He will be lovingly remembered by his parents, Nancy and David Wilson, Syracuse; the love of his life, his fiancé, Michelle Christine Sands, Warsaw; his twin Sister:  Erika Kathleen Wilson, Indianapolis; and his beloved sisters: Stephanie Mary Wilson and fiancé, Ricco Diamanté, Fort Wayne; Christina (husband Ryan) Warrington, North Carolina; Natalie Danae Wilson, Indianapolis. He also leaves behind his grandmother, Dona Wilson, Cleveland, Ohio.

He adored being an uncle to Carter and Quinn Warrington and Ramiro Diamanté, and held his family as precious treasures, including many aunts, uncles and cousins. He never knew a stranger and was lucky to share the love of many friends.

Friends and family are invited to celebrate Richard’s life at his memorial service that will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, July 1 at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw, IN and officiated by Pastor Aaron Hoover.
