BENTON HARBOR, MICH. — An attempted abduction was reported by six women in Benton Harbor, who say they were walking together Monday when men with handguns tried to force them into their vehicles.

This reportedly happened just after 2:15 p.m. on Ogden Avenue. The women told the Benton Harbor Department of Public Safety that a black Chevy Impala with unknown out-of-state plates —possibly with the last 4 characters “OG43” — as well as a silver truck of unknown make and model pulled up to them.

The women said the men tried to force them into the vehicles at gunpoint and chased after the women when they ran away — all of them escaping safely.

If you have information call the tip line at (269) 927-0293 or Crime Stoppers at (800) 342-STOP (7867).
