ALEXANDRIA, VA. — CNN is reporting Majority Whip Steve Scalise is reportedly among those recovering after being shot this morning in Alexandria, Va.

Two U.S. Capital Police officers were also injured in the incident.

Eyewitnesses say Scalise and other congressman were playing baseball when a shooter opened fire with a rifle.

No word yet on the extent or number of injuries.

Police say they believe the shooter is in custody.
