WARSAW — Local students attending Ivy Tech Community College’s Health Science Camp got chance to explore future careers by meeting with Parkview Warsaw health professionals and participating in a tour of the facility. The week-long camp culminated with the trip to the Parkview Warsaw campus where students heard from representatives from fields of study including nursing, respiratory therapy and laboratory science. Students were then allowed to tour the diagnostic imaging area and an emergency trauma room, as well as a Parkview ambulance.

“We think it’s important to give students exposure to the vast opportunities available to them in the healthcare field,” said Jeffrey Rockett, vice president of operations, Parkview Whitley Hospital and Parkview Warsaw. “There is a wealth of talent and ability in the young people in our community, and we want to encourage them to reach their goals.”
