Alice Jane Weiss, 84, Bremen, passed away peacefully at 3:35 a.m., Saturday, June 10, 2017 in her home.

Alice was born on July 19, 1932, the daughter of Eldon and Edna Mae (Kellogg) Kane.  On Feb. 27, 1977 in North Liberty, she married John H. Weiss.  He passed away on March 9, 2017. John and Alice met and fell in love, bringing together by marriage two families to make one.

They include Nancy (Hal) Joy of Osceola, Warren Zahn of Walkerton, and Christine (Pete) Richardson of Du Quoin, Ill.;  Steve Weiss of LaPaz; Pam Weiss of LaPaz; Gloria Weiss of Grovertown; and Barb (Eric) Grubbs of LaPaz; nine grandchildren; Benjamin, Christopher, Adam, Ronald, Thomas, Stephanie, Ryan, Dustin, and Amber; and sixteen great grandchildren and her beloved cat, Sweetie Pie.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, granddaughter, Amonda Kaye Huff and two brothers, Glen and Donald.

Alice graduated from North Liberty High School, class of 1950.  She enjoyed wintering in Florida, camping, and motorcycle rides.  Her other hobbies include sewing, knitting, crocheting, gardening and canning.

Visitation will be held from 11:00-noon, Tuesday, June 13 in Mishler Funeral Home, 2030 St Rd. 331, Bremen.  Funeral services will follow at noon, Tuesday in the funeral home.  Pastor Kurt Litwiller, pastor of Bremen Missionary Church, will officiate.  Burial will follow in Bremen Cemetery.
