Eneldina “Dina” Palma de Sanchez of Warsaw, Indiana passed away surrounded by family at 8 a.m. on Friday, June 9, 2017 at her residence at the age of 59

She was born May 9, 1958 at El Brasilar, Santa Catarina Mita in Jutiapa, Guatemala to Rosalina (Hernandez) and Miguel Angel Palma.  On February 7, 1976 she was married to Abel Alfredo Sanchez, who survives in Warsaw.

When she was young she helped her father in the fields in Guatemala.  She came to the United States in 1984.  She worked hard her entire life, she was a homemaker and worked as the head cook at The Boathouse Restaurant in Winona Lake, Indiana for 17 years.  She loved to cook and garden, and had a love of flowers.  Dina was a loving woman of God, and woman of faith.  She was a member of Iglesia Betesda Asambleas de Dios Church in Warsaw where she also served as a Pastor.  She was a very unique woman who loved her parents, brothers, and sisters.  Most of all she loved her husband, children, and grandchildren…she was Number One in her family.  She will be forever loved and dearly missed by all that were fortunate to have known her.

She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 41 years, Abel Alfredo Sanchez (Warsaw, Indiana), her parents:  Rosalina and Miguel Angel Palma (Fort Wayne, Indiana); son:  Alfredo (wife Norma) Sanchez, Jr. (Warsaw, Indiana); and two daughters:  Nivia (husband Federico) Presteguin (Warsaw, Indiana); Saida (husband Jason) Hemsoth (Warsaw, Indiana).  She also leaves behind five grandchildren:  Dineli, Dania, Federico Jr., Isaac, and Eli; as well as three sisters:  Maribel, Eva, Liliana; and six brothers:  Francisco, Santiago, Jaime, Leonel, Roberto, and Hector.

She was preceded in death by one infant brother, her infant granddaughter, Isabella, and her mother-in-law.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 15, 2017 from 6 – 9 p.m. at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw.

Her funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Friday, June 16, at Iglesia Betesda Asambleas de Dios Church, 720 McClellan Street, in Warsaw, and officiated by Reverend Jose Luis Gutierrez.  Burial will follow with a graveside service at Oakwood Cemetery of Warsaw.

Memorial donations in Dina’s name may be directed to Iglesia Betesda Asambleas de Dios Church, P.O. Box 765, Warsaw, Indiana  46581] to go towards Christmas Dinners for Children in Haiti, and would be appreciated by the family.
